1# Dad

Hi All! Today I have a fun little Father's Day card to share with you. Since, that special day is just around the corner I want to have all my cards made for all the special men in my life. I pulled out my favorite Father's Day set *giggle* from Taylored Expressions. The set is called "Boys Will Be Boys" and it has images that will connect and relate to every man out there. I love it! The cool screw brads come in the Father's Day Key Ingredients. The layout is from this week's Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. I love all of Taylor's sketches. Make sure to check out her blog for all the details on how to play along. Well, that's all for me but make sure to check back and see what fabulous new creations the other Baker's Dozen girls have in store.
Until then,
Ana

Happy Mother's Day

Hi All! Today I have a fun little Mother's Day card featuring the Whimsical Wishes "Fresh Flowers" set. I am having so much fun with these stamps. I decided to use the rose bouquet for the main image. I wanted to make it stand out so I stamped it three times, colored it in with my Copics, and then layered the blooms to create a 3D effect. After I did that, I added some crystals to mimic the morning dew. The patterned paper is from the new Taylored Expressions Mother's Day Key Ingredients. I seriously can't get enough of this kit! I seem to pick it up every time I go to make a card. The sentiment is framed with a nesties die cut. Since it was stamped on white card stock I decided to make it pop with some brown circle punches. To complete the card I added a Zva Creative crystal flourish. Well, that's all for today but make sure to check back for more awesome creations from the Baker's Dozen!
Hugs,

Oh, Nuts!!

Happy Monday everyone! Today I have a cute little cookie box to share with you. I am in love with the new Whimsical Wishes set "Branching Out" and "Branching Out Coordinates". I knew I wanted to use them for this project. I recently went to La Madeline and bought these yummy almond/pecan nut cookies. They were so pretty and perfectly sprinkled with powder sugar that I wanted to make a cute container for them and give them away to a new neighbor that just moved next door. I started with the super adorable square favor boxes from Taylored Expressions. I embellished the box with some scalloped paper and ribbon. The buckle and the card stock from the tag are all from the Taylored Expressions new March Key Ingredients. To complete the project I added some Zva Creative crystals around the circle and scalloped paper. I really like how it turned out. I can't wait until tomorrow to give my new neighbor this little treat. Well, that's all for me today.
Until next time,
Ana Wohlfahrt

A Twinkles St. Paddy's Day

Hi All! So, today I have a very Twinkley card and mini tutorial to share. I recently received some of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles and instantly fell in love. I love these little rhinestones because they add the perfect touch to every card. I decided to create a mini tutorial on how I like to adhere them to my cards. I am sure there are many different ways to apply them but this way seems to work perfectly for me. For this card I used the St. Patrick's Day image from the Year of Sweets 1 set. I started by stamping and coloring in my image on Choice Snow White card stock. Then, I pulled out my tweezers and Tumbow adhesive. I squeezed a drop of glue on some scratch paper and then using my tweezers grabbed a twinkle tot and dipped it in the glue. I tried to add just a touch of glue since that is all you need. If, the twinkle doesn't come right of the tweezer just use your fingernail to slide it off. I really find these rhinestones easy to use and perfect for adding a WOW factor to your card. Well, I hope you found this mini tutorial helpful. I can't wait to start seeing everyone's cards and projects using Taylor's Tiny Twinkles.
Until next time,

Hearts Galore!

Hi All! I know you've already been enabled with all kinds of adorable creations from the fabulously talented Baker's Dozen but I thought I would try a bit more *wink*! I am seriously in LOVE with all the new stamps that are now available at Taylored Expressions. I decided to go with the "Year of Sweets 1" and the "Love is Sweet" set for the sentiment. The idea for this project was inspired by a heart cookie container I made for the release. I used my heart nesties again for this project along with some vellum. I hand drew the broken heart edges and maneuvered the vellum so it would follow the creases. I think next time I will try and score them first. I guess it didn't turn out so bad for my first attempt. Each heart side is filled with candy and tied with some yummy ribbon. The paper and ribbon are from the new Valentine's Day Key Ingredients. Well, that's all I have for you today but make sure to check back for some more great card and project ideas.
Have a great day,
